After reading my friend Kat’s blog yesterday, it got me thinking about work. She mentioned that because of the varied nature of her work, few folk actually knew what she did for a living. I too find myself with the very same predicament. Having had many different jobs in the past 15 years I can understand why people get confused, and why some don’t even bother to ask any more. So here, for anyone interested, is a brief history of my career. And if I’ve missed any, be sure to let me know!

reaching the first thousand!

It’s day 21 of my i-pod challenge. I’m aiming to hear all 7440 tracks in 61 days. As I began to write this I reached song number 2255, Juanes ‘A dios le Pedo’ which comically translates as ‘to God I ask him’

Join me as I take on a challenge I’ve been keen to try for sometime. It’s simple… 2 months, 7440 tracks on shuffle, no skipping, no cheating….just 61 music filled days, bliss.

I made a new i-pod playlist when I came home and have been enjoying it ever since. One of the song’s is Keane’s Spiralling. I love singing this very loud, especially when I’m in my car. So why am I telling you this?

Here I am, back in Scotland, back at work and back to daydreaming about the future. But the last few months have been different to what I thought they’d be.
